How is severance pay calculated?
An employee who has worked for the same employer for at least one year and whose employment contract ends in one of the cases listed in the law is paid severance equal to 30 days' gross wages, including benefits, for each full year of service. Periods beyond full years are prorated. The base wage may not exceed the ceiling.
