What is Controlled foreign company income?

The taxation in Turkey, even if not distributed, of the income of foreign subsidiaries at least 50% directly or indirectly controlled by Turkish residents that earn mainly passive income in low-tax countries.

It applies when the statutory conditions (share of passive income, effective tax burden and revenue threshold) are met together. Its impact should be assessed in advance when structuring operations abroad.
